Welcome to Super, a roleplay site by and for fans of superhero comic books. Here you'll find all sorts of heroes and villains clashing for the fate of the world and beyond. Here's how it works.
Super takes place mainly on Earth in the near future of 20XX, but can stretch as far as the known universe and alternate planes and dimensions. In the world of Super, super powered beings have always existed in some form or another whether as the gods of old or the legends passed down over the ages. However, as both science and media progressed, these beings became both more common and more visible to the public. Now, superheroes and villains have become almost commonplace as cornerstones of popular culture and current events. However, as new superpowered individuals are discovered every day, world governments scramble to deal with the repercussions and average everyday citizens struggle with the implications. What will become of this world? Only time will tell.
Structure
Super is different from most roleplay sites in that, instead of separating the different roleplay boards into actual locations, they are divided into three different types of comics, explained below:
On Super, you can have as many characters as you can think of. Generally, these characters will fall into one of two categories: Heroes and Villains. However, if you feel like your character doesn't fit into either of these groups for whatever reason, they will be classified as unaffiliated. Characters can be in as many threads/comics as they like. The biggest rule about characters is that they have to be original. If you want to make a character that has all the powers of Spider-man, that's fine. Just don't call him Spider-man and copy his backstory word for word.
One of the best things about superheroes and villains is their superpowers, and on Super this is no exception. As a general rule, you are free to give your characters whatever powers you would like, to a certain point. The rule of thumb here is that if you think a superpower might be too powerful, just ask and we'll let you know if it's acceptable.
Sometimes, heroes fall. Villains get taken out. Harm comes to those it shouldn't. But this is only natural. But just as frequently, characters find their way back to the land of the living. In Super, characters will die sometimes. While characters will never be killed without the permission of their characters, some comics will feature an inherent amount of danger and your characters will be at risk. However, just because a character is dead, doesn't mean they will stay that way forever. With moderator approval or during certain events characters can be brought back to life.

Structure
Super is different from most roleplay sites in that, instead of separating the different roleplay boards into actual locations, they are divided into three different types of comics, explained below:
- Solo Comics: These comics focus on the exploits of a single hero or villain, but that's not to say they can't also feature other characters. With the permission of the original poster, other characters can cameo in these comics as sidekicks, underlings, opponents, whatnot. Ultimately, what happens in a solo comic is up to its author.
- Teams and Team-ups: When two or three characters team up together, or a group of characters come together to form an official team, their adventures are told here. These comics are a collaboration between the players involved and each members opinion is valid.
- Events: Once the board is up and running and more established, there will be event comics from time to time. Think Marvel's Civil War or DC's Infinite Crisis. These comics will affect the world as a whole and will most likely feature all of the site's characters in some form or fashion.
