Name: Alexis
Secret Identity: Alexis doesn't hide her identity, but people have taken to calling her Warrior Princess. She is currently not overly fond of the name and does not understand the reference.
Age: Over 3000 years old, exact age unknown (looks to be in her mid 30s)
Affiliation: Heroes
Base of Operations: Troy
Appearance:
Powers: Superhuman strength/reflexes/speed/endurance/durability, ageless immortality, master in various forms of weapon and hand-to-hand combat
Weapons and Armor: Alexis wields the Sword of Ares and the Shield of Aphrodite. The sword was blessed by Ares himself after he witnessed Alexis on the battlefield and was impressed by her swordplay. Similarly, her shield was a gift from Aphrodite, as she wished to protect the person she viewed as the most beautiful on the battlefield as a way to prove that beauty didn't equal helplessness.
The armor Alexis wears was also a gift from Aphrodite. While revealing, it actually is imbued with magic that protects the uncovered areas as well as the covered ones. This is done to both distract enemies while also tricking them into aiming at areas they view as unprotected.
Weaknesses: While ageless, Alexis is not immortal. She can take punishment that a normal human cannot, but there is a limit to how much she can take. After a big enough beating, she kill go down. She can also be injured by weapons, including swords and bullets. Alexis can also be harmed by magic.
Personality: As a soldier, Alexis tends to be serious most of the time. When give a mission to accomplish, she remains in a serious state until it is accomplished. That being said, she does have a lighter side that she shows to those who she trusts, though it takes a great deal of effort to reach that level. Going along with this, Alexis can be overly formal at times, even when the situation doesn't call for it.
Viewing herself as a soldier first and a tactician second, Alexis doesn't view her looks as important. Others, however, view her from attractive to strikingly beautiful. That's not to say she hasn't had a number of relationships over the millennia that she's been around, of both male and female partners, but they're not something she actively looks for. She views them more if they happen, they happen. Instead, she tends to focus on her duties as a soldier and can be oblivious to how others view her and their potential advances.
Origin Story: Alexis comes from a long line of Trojan Warriors. Having proven herself as one of the finest fighters of her generation, she moved up the ranks of the Trojan army to become a captain under the command of Hector. Alexis fought alongside Hector and the other heroes of lore during the Trojan War. While the Trojans did have their own demigods, they were outnumber by a large margin to the Greek demigods. To help even the odds, the Gods whom support the Trojans bestowed blessings on their top warriors. Alexis was gifted superhuman enhancements to a number of her physical attributes, as well as agelessness to keep fighting no matter how long the war dragged on.
Troy eventually lost the war, but not in the way the traditional stories tell it. The Trojans forfeited the war to prevent further loss of life after King Priam was assassinated by an unknown assailant. The Trojans assumed the assassin to be a Greek but were never able to prove exactly who it was. The newly crowned King Hector withdrew the Trojan forces into the city and used the magic that was part of his godly gift to hide the city from the rest of the world. The Greeks wanted a more heroic version of their victory, thus the stories we know of the war today.
Alexis stayed a member of the army, training during the years of isolation from the world. Eventually, she moved up yet again and became one of the three generals of the army and answered only to King Hector himself. Stories of her fighting prowess grew, with some saying she was second only to Hector in combat. A persistent rumor spread that she had actually bested Hector in a sparring duel once, but neither ever commented on it. Besides her gifts when it came to fighting, Alexis also possessed a keen mind. The combination of these two allowed for Alexis to be granted a seat on King Hector's counsel of advisers.
In recent years, Hector and the counsel came to the conclusion that it was time to end the Trojan isolation from the rest of the world. A combination of restlessness from Troy's citizen, as well as resources that had finally almost been depleted, drove them to do so. Awakening in a modern world, Troy announce itself to the planet as it's own country. People all over the Earth were shocked to discover the mythical city was in fact a real place. Historians and explorers rushed to the site, in what was once part of Turkey, but others were more weary. Some were worried how a people famous for their fighting skills would integrate to modern society, while others were simply afraid of something different.
While Troy had developed and evolved during it three millennium isolation, so had the world around it. King Hector decided to kill two birds with one stone. He sent a number of his most trusted advisers to several countries around the globe to both learn of their cultures, technology, and history. By doing so, Hector and his advisers hoped to form diplomatic alliances that would allow them to become more easily accepted into this new world. One of these countries was the United States, which Hector viewed as particularly important due to a recent rise of so-called heroes there. Hector entrusted the job of winning them over as an ally to Alexis, whom was one of the people he trusted the most. Recognizing how important it was, Alexis accepted and made her way to the United States to begin her duty.
