Name: Tytus “Ty” Eisenhower
Secret Identity (if any): The Sleepster
Age: 22
Affiliation: Unaffiliated
Base of Operations (if any): Los Angeles
Appearance: Ty is an unassuming 22 year old male with brown hair. He is almost always wearing comfortable clothes and a backpack. The backpack contains a blanket large enough to cover himself if he ever wanted to sleep. His backpack also carries his supersuit if he ever bothered to put it on before using his powers. Hoodies and jeans are what he wears for the most part. He looks like he just woke up a lot of the time, but mostly because he is frequently yawning. His super outfit consists of a purple and turquoise suit along with an oversized pair of purple tinted goggles to hide his facial features.
Powers: Hypnosis based powers. While fighting Ty uses two main powers. He emits waves that entice the people surrounding him to become tired, making them sluggish and eventually lulling them to sleep. While the enemy rests Ty usually will attempt to escape due to his lack of actual fighting experience. Ty has recently adopted a different technique where he makes his target forget why they were fighting in the first place. He can also briefly (maybe 5 seconds) make the opponent obey his wishes, act like a chicken for example. Ty’s control attempts have been known to fail in times of stress. The use of his abilities make him sleepy as well and he sometimes falls asleep briefly while fighting but has been documented sleepwalking.
Henchmen (villains only):
Personality: Tired and sleepy at almost all times. Ty is aware of his ability, but doesn’t consider himself a hero. He isn’t a villain either, so if he had to choose he would be heroic. If it were up to him he would sleep all day and play games in between. There are times that Ty uses his powers for less than reputable reasons (Ex. shoplifting). Ty is a pretty lazy guy and typically doesn’t enjoy getting involved in other people’s problems. Ty is easily exasperated and avoids hard tasks if at all possible. People call him uninspired and unmotivated. They say all he needs is a reason to get up in the morning.
Origin Story: Tytus Eisenhower was born the youngest of four children to two loving parents. His upbringing was typical; go to school, find some hobbies, love your family. After he graduated from highschool he became more of a shut in, preferring to spend his days in the comfort of his room rather than the noisy and high-strung life outdoors. His parents were alright with this arrangement for a period of time, but one of them eventually fell ill. Without much provocation, Tytus realized he would have to get a job to aid in the medical bill payments the family accrued. He promptly began working the graveyard shift at a convenience store. Using the money he earned from work his mother made a full recovery and the bills were paid.
Tytus retained his job and eventually saved enough money to rent an apartment. He moved out from his childhood home and resumed his lifestyle of sleeping all day in solitude. One day on a particularly slow and boring night at the convenience store a man walked in. Ty had his hand propped up against his cheek. With one eye open he took a look at the man in the store. The man had his back turned and was wearing a hood. Tytus thought nothing of it until the man turned to face him. Just as the man revealed a firearm and demanded money, Tytus was in the middle of a full yawn. The robber also yawned and slumped to the floor. Tytus managed to call the police prior to falling asleep himself.
After the convenience store incident, he became curious about the possibility of a possessing super power. He travelled to an exotic pet store and adopted a pet sloth. Ty figured it would be the best fit for his lifestyle. Naming the sloth Prince Hugsalot IV, he began to practice putting it to sleep. It took some time but he eventually figured out that he could make any living creature fall asleep for a brief period of time. Ty realized he could quit his job to train and hone these abilities, but decided that would be a lot of work. Today, Ty is a man who works the graveyard shift at a convenience store. He also happens to have super powers.
